A Virginia Tech legend is making his mark in the NFL. Former Virginia Tech star protective end Darryl Tapp got a promo on Wednesday. After 3 years as the assistant protective line coach for the San Francisco 49ers, Tapp is coming back to Virginia. He was employed as the Washington Commanders' defensive line train under new head instructor Dan Quinn. Tapp's training career started in 2018 as a defensive quality assurance trainer at Central Michigan. In 2019, he moved to Vanderbilt to function as an unique groups quality assurance coach. It was in 2020 when he returned home to Blacksburgh under former head trainer Justin Fuente, to work as the co-defensive line train at Virginia Technology. Tapp promptly went far for himself on the training circuit Jeremy Reaves Jersey, and was a preferred number on the recruiting path, especially in his indigenous "757" area of Virginia. Sadly-- from the Hokies' perspective-- Tapp stood out of the NFL and he wisely approved a position with the 49ers. And an additional 49ers assistant train is headed to Washington.
