Chinese Minister of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Lin Jian slammed the comments made by Utah Governor Spencer Cox, who claimed that Chinese and Russian chatbots were attempting to "instil misinformation and encourage violence" following the shooting of activist Charlie Kirk on Wednesday. "We firmly oppose some American politicians who frequently use China as an excuse and firmly oppose the spread of false information to slander and smear China," the spokesperson emphasised.
