  • Conditions in Kenya better than in Ghana but the youth still protested – Gyampo tells Ghanaian youth to learn a lesson

The youth of Kenya have shown a way to demonstrate against the government and get the authorities to rescind their draconian decisions, a professor at the University of Ghana, Ransford Gyampo has said.

He explained that Ghanaian youth will not have to burn parliament or destroy properties as what happened in Kenya but they can still protest to get the government to be responsive to their needs.

“Fellow young people, I am telling you that the only way we can guarantee our future is to ensure that our leaders work in a manner responsive to our interests, there is a leadership failure and one way to do that is for us to come together and keep them on their toes.

  • In no particular order, here is a list of African leaders who are a threat to panAfricanism in this day & age:
    Akufo -Addo of Ghana
    William Ruto of Kenya
    Bola Ahmed Tinubu of Nigeria
    Samia Suhulu Hasan of Tanzania
    Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa of Zimbabwe
Not to mention the entire leaders of African countries that are a part of the Arab League.

BRICS is not our salvation neither
African progress will continue to be stifled as long as we have leadership that is colonial minded, African men & women who are fearful and in love with European power, Arab power, Asian power & Indian power… African men & women in leadership who lack knowledge of self and do not love and value Africa and global African people!

  • This is a portrait of Septimius Severus, a Roman emperor of mixed Italian and North African ancestry who seized the imperial throne in a military coup around 193 AD and kept it until his death in 211 AD. However, five of his descendants would mantain their grip on leadership of the Empire until 235 AD, so you could say Severus had founded a short-lived ruling dynasty.

Among Severus’s actions as emperor were expanding the imperial army and raising their annual wages (which unfortunately required him to debase the currency and raise taxes on the populace, for both of which he received criticism from his contemporaries), winning a number of victories against the Parthian Empire in western Asia, and attempting to take over the entire island of Great Britain by invading Scotland. It was in Eboracum, now known as York, where he passed away from gout.

Although Severus has been celebrated as a “Black Emperor of Rome” due to his African parentage, I admit that I had some difficulty deciding on a skin tone. One of the Roman paintings of him does depict him with a fairly dark skin tone, but on the other hand his mother would have been a typical Italian Roman, and there is an anecdote from the Historia Augusta mentions the emperor reacting negatively to the “ominous color” of an “Aethiopian” soldier handing him a garland, which he took to be a negative omen (“Aethiopian” means “burnt face” in Greek and normally referred to African peoples from the Sudan). In the end, I settled on a nut-brown complexion roughly approximating his painted portrait.

  • But..Well, overseas news says there will be an attack on U.S soil before March, maybe June and definitely before the election then who’s ever in office stays in office. Nobody shifts leadership during the middle of a war, Butler said and he should know. An officer, top secret clearance and good at keeping a secret. Lifer. I gotta call around, find some fencing first. Check with the city about permits, height limitations. I wonder if it’s illegal to hook a car battery up to a chain link fence yet? And how long does it take for a body to stop smoldering with that voltage? What is the voltage? Wait. Are car batteries comprised of copper? Africa cut the copper so car batteries goin’ through the roof. Arrrrggggghhhh! Not enough time in the day. Gotta market. Order all dry goods. And find SOMEBODY who knows something about putting up this solar generator. I see all the white folk around the way. Preparing. Not enough using solar panels. Meaning THEY still think the government will provide
