Friday, April 12, 2024 Mailing Tips: Certificate of Mailing Most people are not aware of this United States Postal Service (USPS) form. It is not present on the table when you enter a Post Office. Most people do not know how it’s used. You have to ask for it at the window. Note: “It Is Not A Certified Mail Form”. I’ve used it for many years when I want proof of the date I mailed a letter, etc. Especially a time sensitive document, e.g., Mail-In Voting Ballot; My United States Income Tax Returns; Once mailed I attach it to my copies to have as a record.
