  • The gov/AI is now trying to say it's a lie. Get a book from those times:The Devil's Punchbowl was a refugee camp for formerly enslaved African Americans during the American Civil War in Natchez, Mississippi. The camp was located in a natural pit surrounded by bluffs.

The story of the Devil's Punchbowl is complicated and disputed by historians:

    The story
The story goes that the Union Army created the camp to house the large number of freed slaves in Natchez. The camp was walled off and women and children were left to die from starvation and disease. Some say that over 20,000 people died in one year.

  • Continuation from Post Directly Above.

From time to time, I'm going to present to you Black/Afrikan History books and other books about our people, and our history to read. You need to grow your mind to have a clear understanding of our history and what happened to our people.

The books that I will present after this one will only be revealed in my NAFBP private group at BackRoom Social.

You need to understand our ancestors, culture, spiritual systems, and what it was like back in the day. Learn from the mistakes our Black/Afrikan ancestors made by not coming together and preparing for war by enemies who have been watching us, infiltrating and learning from us only to invade, conquer, destroy, steal, and enslave which is still happening today but in other forms such as an enslaved Black mind.

You should get your copy, either free or paid for. Many books written by our Black Historians and Scholars can be found on Google in a free PDF version.

Just Google the name of the book and author. Add 'free PDF' at the end of your search term.

Here's one book that took me a long time to read but was worth every minute of my time reading it.

  • What was the name prior to Afrika?

Credit to: Sammy Scott on Facebook...

According to Senegalese historian Dr. Cheikh Anta Diop, the ancient name of Africa was Alkebulan, which means "mother of mankind" or "garden of Eden". The name was used by the Moors, Nubians, Ethiopians, and other indigenous people.

The name Africa was given to the continent by the ancient Romans and Greeks. Some experts believe that the name Africa comes from two Phoenician words, "friqi" and "pharika", which translate to "corn" and "fruit".

The word "Africa" came into existence in the late 17th century. Initially, it only referred to the northern part of the continent. Around that time, the continent had been colonized, and the Europeans ruled over its people as slaves. They influenced the change of identity from Alkebulan to its present name.

  • JUNETEENTH BLACK FREEDOM DAY

On June 19 th 1865, when General Granger arrived in Galveston, TX, as some of us have already mentioned, he arrived with Black Soldiers who were War hardened. What has been left out of that history as Dr Gerald Horne(Historian University of Houston) so eloquently states: General Granger arrived with 75,000 Black Soldiers. Why did he need so much back-up! Because the Confederates from Virginia, Louisiana, Arkansas, were bringing their slaves to Texas, with their plan to continue Slavery. To the south, was Mexico, under French control at that time, was supporting the Confederates. The French brought African Soldiers from Algeria(Which the French had colonized), Sudan and Egypt. The black soldiers, crushed them, stopping the exportation of Africans from the US to Brazil.

  • This is a depiction of mine of the scholar Hypatia of Alexandria, who lived and studied in Roman Egypt until she died in 415 AD. A teacher and scholar of Neoplatonic philosophy who also built scientific instruments such as astrolabes and hydrometers, she became an adviser to the Roman prefect Orestes, whose conflict with the Christian bishop Cyril would ultimately drag her into the early Christian community’s crosshairs. Hypatia would face a brutal death at the hands of a Christian mob who had her stripped naked and assaulted with ostraka (possibly meaning either roof tiles or oyster shells), dragged through the streets of Alexandria, and set her remains on fire. Some historians have claimed Hypatia’s murder represents the “death of classical antiquity” at the hands of religious fanaticism, but it should be noted that the mob’s reason for targeting Hypatia had more to do with her alliance with Orestes, himself a Christian, than anything she had taught as a scholar and philosopher.

We do not know much about Hypatia’s background other than that she had a father named Theon, and her physical appearance remains unknown to the best of my knowledge. Although her name is of Greek origin, there are records of indigenous Egyptians, Jews, and other non-Hellenes in Egypt assuming Greek names during the Greco-Roman periods, so I believe it is possible that Hypatia was of Egyptian (or other African) descent rather than strictly Greek as commonly shown in artistic portrayals.
